Training is changing as Web-based technologies are becoming more readily available and easier to use. Educators can incorporate many of these new technologies to keep pace with the evolving learning landscape. A Google search found these useful tools:
- Software to create and manage Web-based exams or quizzes such as shareware program eWebquiz
- Wikibooks – a project by Wikipedia that provides open-content textbooks that can be edited. Fact-checking and precautions should be taken to ensure that the material is correct. The Computing Department includes computer software, domain-specific languages, information technology and programming languages.
- Classes about creating training videos, presentations and Podcasts. With easy-to-record technologies and a USB port, most computer users can create short, informative MP3 files to upload to a Web site to enhance their presentation.
