Is Learning a Lifestyle?

Have you ever met someone who knew everything?  Or at least claimed to?  Have you ever felt like you have learned all there is to learn about a given topic?  Do you think that our brains reach a saturation point after which new learning can't occur? I believe that learning is a lifestyle.  It must be something that we purpose to do with effort and dedication.  That may seem like I am stating the obvious but, in my experience, there are some who either claim to know it all already or some who refuse to go any further than exactly where they are.  The result in both cases is the same: ignorance.  Although it drives me crazy when my four-year-old does it, asking "why" and "how" questions are essential to maintaining and expanding your intelligence.  As the world changes around us we have two choices: bury our head in the sand and hope for the best or committ to a lifestyle of learning so we can be prepared for what is coming.
