So why did I decide to build TrainingForce?

In the early 90's, technical training was enjoying a boom and I was one of the most sought after trainers on the East Coast.  After traveling the United States for several years teaching high end programming skills, I saw an opportunity.

I'm a detail oriented person and I just don't like a mess.  And even though these "technical schools" preached high-tech gospel, very few of them implemented high-tech solutions in the management of their own training.  Most of them, in fact, still used some combination of paper, Excel sheets and antique databases. The disorganization often made my training job very difficult. I thought, "I can't believe there isn't a better way to organize training." I began developing a product called Boomerang and promoted it to the schools where I taught.  We timed the market right and were fortunate to have success.  Nearly 20 years later, Oak Tree Systems has grown and matured.  The training industry has changed substantially since 1994 and both the company and product have continued to improve.

Unlike some of our competitors, our system is first and foremost a Learning Management System. It is a system to manage your training organiation.  It is NOT a HR, Training Delivery or ERP system.  Ours is a straightforward tool designed to organize your info into one central location and massively increase efficiencies.
